Live-In Care in New York

What is Live-In Care?

With regards to “Live-In” Care, the home health aide or personal care aide stays/sleeps in the senior client’s home. Live-In caregivers are permitted at least eight to ten hours of rest and sleep. In those hours at night, they are expected to assist their senior client only for quick chores, such as going to the restroom.

Live-In Caregivers must have their own private room in the home.

24-Hour Care is different. For 24-hour care, shift caregivers are expected to remain on full duty for the entire shift, with only one or more quick breaks in between. The most common type of 24-hour care involves three 8-hour shifts in which the caregivers are alert and not sleeping.

  • Duties of a Live-In Caregiver
  • Companionship and socialization
  • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
  • Meal preparation, shopping, and transportation
  • Medication reminders
  • Communicating with family

Our highly trained staff members are committed to meeting your particular needs, from delivering the highest quality skilled nursing care to assisting you with activities of daily living. We have developed a reputation in the community for excellence in home health care.
